8 – Bit Discussion / Satisfaction – Tatsu

Tatsu mainman D-Nox teams up with Sly Flynn, following on from their tune Muy Caliente on Tatsu’s Dragon Tales 3 compilation.

D-Nox’s self-confessed techno upbringing is evident on 8-Bit Discussion, a clubby-trance outing that fuses high-end leadlines with no-frills drum programming. A very serene breakdown gives way to a clean, cool midsection run with plenty of movement in the sounds and a nice textured feel. The high end comes and goes again, and there’s a nice long playout for creative DJ messabouts.

Satisfaction is moodier, with a low-set pad warming things up while the drums progress through a low-speed car chase of changes. An interesting release, again suited more to the progressive and indoor crowds than anything else.
