This is a great little product from probably the tightest, most pert, nubile chillout label on the planet. This is more of a one-off purchase, a chill album for people who don’t often buy chill albums. Mixed by Naasko, the tunes are all from Interchill’s back catalogue, specifically the more “incense-n-hammock” end of it: the album’s subtitle “A Shanti Mix From The Interchill Garden” should give this away. The result is a tight mix, with plenty of good moments from the Interchill stable: Ishq always sounds good, Shakatura likewise, and the inclusion of Gaudi’s Tribalove makes for a nice little pivot before the final part, culminating in Ekko’s gorgeously warm Call Of The Delta. It’s a nice little mix, though at times I can’t help feeling that Naasko is a little sanctimonious with his tracks, that we’re being dragged along rather than being taken on a musical journey. Top tunes though, excellently produced, the perfect christmas present for that girl with dreads who goes to parties and does poi that you fancy the arse off, but are too scared to ask out.
