There Is No Tomorrow Inpsyde Media

Various Artists

Here we go this is proper psytrance - evil, twisted this gives no quarter....the cover art is spooky - ghostly skulls haunt the forest night while forlorn figures hang by the neck from gnarled branches. Penta open up and the gothic architecture of the tunes is apparent right off.....a jackhammer bass pounds along while the percussion spikes you over and over again aiming straight for the heart- stunning production. Azax Syndrom follow and these guys really don't pull the punches. As you expect from the Israeli nighttime masters the bassline is capable of some serious sonic warfare and the harsh chainsaw synth riffs could quite easily decapitate you at twenty paces.... unrelenting, pounding, er.....downright scary , especially if you found yourself in a forest listening to this. Psyside follow and after their recent album on G-Echoes I was expecting something really special...they don't dissapoint as they strive to raise the pace and intensity and suceed in further twisting the proceedings into synth-attack scariness...Dark Nebula and this is a tune straight from the lair of the dark lord himself. Satan has left his knackers sweating over a hot fire all winter and has unleased his sweaty sack all over the dancefloor :o Catla follow and lay down an uber-intense assult with no frequency left unturned- the high pitch squealing scrambles your mind as the dark crunch pounds along below. ....Jelly Heads next as we find a plateau in the deep-this sets down a low, rumbling spaceship at the foot of the mount of doom....the atmosphere is well established now and we know what to expect. Before long the minions of evil are here to harry us and further torture our soul. Psyfactor leave us in n o doubt as to their intention with '666' and if these Russian's idea of how to write a tune for maximum techy-scariness doesn't worry you then maybe you are the beast herself......Derango's tune is a proper scando-twister.....playful yet evil, with an arrangement that tells of a sinister intent...think grinning evil maniac ;) Ibex close us off and this is no light at the end of the tunnel......as the cover informs us "there is no hope in life" and listening to this it's very true. this is the sort of cd that will be played at armageddon when the forces of evil swamp the earth with their peculair type of dark brown goo. Inpsyde are building a reputation for this sort of dark night trance, and this is sure to maintain their position.......be worried, especially if you believe in eternal salvation surrounded by fluffy animals and stuff.
