Elelemt’s second release sees them fully get into the adorable psy/progressive niche they’ve carved for themselves. Etnoscope’s Cloud Surfing is a perfect way to start things off with its awesome vocals that circle ambient stylee and well and truly draw you in. Manmademan’s new project Yooza turns up Overdrive, nice organic movement and spacing between the sounds, though the escalating strings are a bit “News at Ten” if you know what I mean. Metetron’s Shark Attack begs to be played on a huge system, with awesome melodies, plenty of balls and a quirky and danceable groove. The clattering brilliance of Biodegradable is fully present and correct with Mushroom Tea Tanium, but doesn’t quite steal standout status from Charismatix & Zerotonine’s Kolateralschaden; woodworm charismatix groove tecched up to a factor of twelve, and a huge breakdown after which the way the bass comes thundering back in will have you in tears. An impressive and well-rounded album, putting Element Records firmly on the psychedelic map.
