SBK Hertzattacke Spirit Zone (Germany)

Man are we late on this one... almost two months old, for which we apologise to the chaps at Spirit Zone, all you lot out there, and especially Sebastian Krüger who’s laid together a nice prog-psy album. If you think the strongly Germanic sound of Trancefeld or D-Nox, and add some fluid, elasticated shakiness, then you’re pretty much there. While a lot of it is firmly rooted in clubland, Rumtreiber gets that club and outdoor crossover just perfect, and will seriously have them going for it when dropped at the right time. Uberflieger is just a damn good bit of techno whichever way you look at it, while Retro tickles at those nostalgic Jam & Spoon brainbuds until you’re checking the date on the back of the CD. A satisfactory, straight-down-the-middle release that’s more of a plateau for you to dance on rather than a whole massage of technicolour sounds you dance in. And my apologies if that last sentence made bugger all sense whatsoever.
