Tromesa Epileptik Dens / Luz Blus Spiral Trax (Sweden)

Polish act Tromesca are back to cofuse and confound. Epileptik Dens is busy n’ schitzo, with lots of sounds everywhere and a real three dimensional feel going on. The production’s awesome and the groove is a let-loose, shaky one rather than a linear stomp marathon. An incredibly bizarre 80’s synthpop / electro section brings it to a close, confusing and confounding just as I said it would (see above.) Luz Blus is heftier, with a deep-set bassline you feel more than hear. It escalates into a sweaty mashup that takes no prisoners, again with first rate production ramming it all home. An interesting and top notch release.
