With the wave of new French labels emerging it's refreshing to see they're not all sticking to the same style. This release from Sub Machine Records, their first compilation after releasing four vinyls, contains nine very crisp progressive tracks. The tracks are densely packed with sounds, and all carry what I suppose is the Sub Machine sound - a kind of futuristic clean sound that comes from tight production. This is a release of mostly dark night tracks, my personal favourites of which are Silicon Sounds' "0.68 Seconds", and "Mechanical Unit" from Tetraktys. If you like your psychedelic trance dark, hard and a little bit progressive, definitely have a listen to this release.
